The Volunteer Toolkit (VTK) is a digital resource that supports troop leaders and co-leaders, making the process of running a troop and planning troop meetings easier and more efficient. Check out gsnnj.org website for more info and a video playlist for detailed walk-throughs.
Background Check: All registered volunteers working directly with girls, such as leaders, adults who help at meetings or activities, and drivers who transport girls as part of a Girl Scout activity, need to apply for a Background check. Adults taking part in an overnight with girls also need to have completed a Background Check. Click here for more information.
LINK Events and Activities planned by Council for the current year Troops may attend these programs sponsored by GSNNJ or use it as an "idea book" for planning troop-only activities.
TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS
All new leaders must attend a NEW LEADER ORIENTATION (NLO) session facilitated in their Service Unit or by council Troop Support staff. Please visit the council website for NLO dates or contact the Allendale Service Unit as described below.

GIRL SCOUT TROOP COMMUNITY TASK ASSIGNMENTS
Every year each grade level has a community service "Task" that should be organized with other troops on the same level.
Click here to learn which task your troop is responsible for each year and access materials to help carrying out the task.
GIRL SCOUT STORAGE AT ORCHARD COMMONS BASEMENT
All camping equipment and materials for annual tasks are stored at the Orchard Commons basement at Franklin Turnpike. Click here for more information on how to access our storage facility.
