GSNNJ LINK PROGRAM ACTIVITIES

GSNNJ offers many types of activities through the LINK program such as Maple Sugaring, overnight at Liberty Science Center, Cupcake/Cake decorating, and the GSNNJ’s Hiking & Backpacking Group. These programs are open to all Girl Scouts, and can be done individually or as a troop. You can register directly through gsnnj.com

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES AROUND BERGEN COUNTY:

  • The Allendale Community for Senior Living (http://allendalecommunity.com/) has welcomed Allendale GirlScouts for Sing-a-Longs, monthly bingo games and Bronze Award activities

  • Senior Living in Wyckoff

  • RBARI - Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge has welcomed troops for Bronze Awards and field trips

FUNDRAISING IDEAS:

Fundraisers (aka Money-Earning activities) cannot be run during Nut/Fall sale or during Cookie Sale. Money-earning activities need to be approved by our Service Unit Manager and GSNNJ council, using this form.

Here are some ideas for fundraising:

  • Movies (at Ramsey movie theater, for example)

  • Lemonade Stands

  • Babysitting for Black Friday shoppers

TROOP TO TROOP ACTIVITIES

These activities were planned and implemented by an older troop to engage with a younger GS troop.

  • 7th graders Cadettes COOKING HANGOUT with 3rd grade Brownie troops - Badges: Healthy Eating, Media

  • 7th graders Cadettes PAJAMA PARTY with Daisy troops

  • 6th and 7th graders Cadettes can also volunteer to help with the Child Care program during the November conferences half days. Contact Lee Memorial Library youth program coordinator for more information.
