The Kerri Ann Schottanes Memorial Travel Fund was established in loving memory of Kerri Ann Schottanes, an Allendale Girl Scout who passed away in 2003 at the age of 21. She is the beloved daughter of Martin and Jill Schottanes and the devoted sister of Tracy Butler and Cindy Balogh.

Kerri was deeply proud of her time as an Allendale Girl Scout. As a Gold Award recipient, she embraced the values of leadership, service, and friendship, forming lasting bonds and meaningful experiences through Scouting.

This fund was created to honor Kerri’s legacy by helping future Allendale Girl Scouts experience the same sense of adventure, camaraderie, and personal growth that meant so much to her. Through travel opportunities, the fund seeks to inspire Scouts to create lifelong memories and continue the spirit that Kerri so wholeheartedly embodied.

Allendale Girl Scouts in grades 6 through 12 may apply for travel funds to participate in nationally sponsored or international GSUSA Destinations programs. Girls may also apply for assistance with troop travel to the WAGGGS World Centers or to the Juliette Low Birthplace in Savannah, Georgia. Participation in Council-sponsored money-earning programs—including nuts, magazines, and cookies—is required.
